Former champion Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24KOs) has revealed that a targeted return for June 27th has now been pushed back to a later date.

A few days ago, BoxingScene.com reported that Rios was being positioned to fight on the Timothy Bradley-Jessie Vargas HBO televised undercard at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Rios was last in the ring in January, where he easily blew out Mike Alvarado in the third round of their trilogy clash in Broomfield, Colorado.

There is some talk of Rios fighting in August against IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook - if Brook defeats Frankie Gavin next Saturday night.

"Looks like I will NOT be fighting on June 27 on the Bradley vs. Vargas undercard.  I was looking forward to getting into the ring for [the] fans," Rios wrote on the social networks.
