For the past few weeks, negotiations have been taking place for a fight between IBF welterweight titlist, Kell Brook and Brandon Rios that was slated for September 12th in England. But according to Cameron Dunkin, who manages Rios, the fight seems to be wavering.
"I don't see it happening right now,'' Dunkin told BoxingScene.com on Sunday afternoon.
"We've got too many problems with it. It changes every time I speak with Top Rank and so I'm not feeling too positive about it right now.''
At issue is Brook's side - led by promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sports - asking for certain stipulations in the contract according to Dunkin.
"Options and rematch clauses and things like that. I'm definitely am not excited about that," he stated.
According to Dunkin, should Rios defeat Brook - he would be forced to go back to the UK to face him again.
"That's a huge problem and the money doesn't change hardly, at all," he claimed. "So there's just a lot of things. We've got other things for Brandon and we'll be announcing something soon."
