In the wake of Kell Brook's sixth-round stoppage of Frankie Gavin this past Saturday at the O2 Arena in London, promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport spoke openly of the possibility of 'Special K' facing Brandon Rios in the late summer in defense of his IBF welterweight title.

Rios' manager, Cameron Dunkin confirmed to BoxingScene.com on Monday afternoon - "I got an offer this morning about it but I'm waiting to get all the details. But I've been talking to a few people at Top Rank about it."

As for when and where this fight would take place, should it come to fruition, Dunkin stated:

"It's going to probably be August 29th and in some arena in England."

And yes, Rios is more than willing to punch his passport.

"All he cares about is how much he's going to get paid and that's the only thing I'm trying to get done here is find out much how much money there is. I think they're still working on it," said Dunkin.

The 29-year old Rios soundly defeated Mike Alvarado in his last outing in late January in their rubbermatch in Denver, stopping his rival in three. His record stands at 33-2-1 (24 KO's). Brook, who is also 29, improved to 35-0(24 KO's) with his victory over Gavin.
