BoxingScene.com has confirmed lightweight prospect Brandon Rios suffered a cut during a sparring session on Wednesday at the Oxnard Boxing Academy in California. Rios saw a physician on Thursday, and it was determined the cut was too severe to move forward with the scheduled fight against Urbano Antillon on May 8 in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Rios-Antillon was the co-feature bout on the Latin Fury 14 pay-per-view, which features Antonio Margarito making his return in the main event against Roberto Garcia.
