Trainer Joel Diaz is confident WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is going to defeat eight division champ Manny Pacquiao on April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Two years ago, Bradley won a controversial twelve round split decision over Pacquiao. They will clash once again at the same venue and Diaz wants no controversy at the end.
Since their first meeting, Bradley won a Fight of The Year battle with Ruslan Provodnikov and then won a twelve round decision over Mexican star Juan Manuel Marquez. On the other side, Pacquiao was knocked out cold in six rounds by Marquez and then won a lopsided twelve round decision against an overmatched Brandon Rios.
"In the first fight, Tim hardly got hit. At the end of the fight his face was clean. Manny Pacquiao was only fighting 30 seconds of every round. Pacquiao just got frustrated that he couldn't hit Bradley. I just think that Manny Pacquiao, at this point in his career, is not the same Manny Pacquiao from three-four years ago. Timothy's confidence is high after beating Juan Manuel Marquez, he's a more mature fighter and he knows what to expect this time," Diaz said.
