Last Saturday, WBO 140-pound champion Timothy Bradley made his welterweight debut with a dominating twelve round decision over unbeaten Carlos Abregu. After the win, Bradley called out WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on national television. Pacquiao is planning a return on November 13 against either Antonio Margarito or Miguel Cotto.
Bradley's manager Cameron Dunkin says a Pacquiao fight is very doable and says a recent online poll displayed an interesting result. A poll was created to see which opponent Pacquiao should fight in November, and Bradley had a large voting lead over both Margarito and Cotto. Bradley is very confident that he can beat Pacquiao.
“They're having trouble with Margarito [because there is no United States license]. Cotto, no one is going to buy that because we've already seen it. They don't have anyone for Pacquiao,” Dunkin said to The Desert Sun. “[Bradley-Pacquiao] is a doable fight. Everyone wants to see it. That will turn [Bob] Arum's head a little."
"He has to get Pacquiao in the ring. He has to. Timmy really wants that fight. He wants to fight the best and he really, honestly believes he can win that. So do I.”
