Bradley vs Abregu Winner a Possible Andre Berto Foe

BoxingScene.com was advised by promoter Lou DiBella that Saturday's winner of the welterweight bout between Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11KOs) and Carlos Abregu (29-0, 23KOs) could become a possible opponent for WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto in the fall.

Bradley, the WBO champion at 140-pounds, moves up in weight to fight Abregu at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California. DiBella is hunting to secure an opponent for Berto in the fall. If Abregu pulls off the upset, his name will be near the top of DiBella's list of potential candidates.

Berto-Bradley will be a tougher fight to make, because HBO is pushing hard for a unification at 140 between Bradley and WBC/IBF champion Devon Alexander. HBO has a tenative date of January 29 in mind for Bradley-Alexander.

I agree,Bradley should fight Devon,Amir or Maidana first although a fight with Berto is exciting but I think Berto will win.Devon has been calling out Bradley to no avail.It seems like Bradley is avoiding the top jr welters.

Berto is the harder fight, and the much better payday..... anyone who's not a hater can see that. fukk that. you seeing any part of that purse? no. so why you talking about paydays so much? I just wanna see bradley clean out 140 lbs first. is that so much to ask? damn! Agreed, even though Bradley is the best 140lb'er, and will pretty much be a welterweight by the time they fight. yeah, that ***** *** nigguh wants an excuse. if he goes back to 140 lbs and loses, his excuse is that he is weight drained. fukk that ***** made punk. Why the fukk isn't Berto screaming for Manny and Floyd ? he ain't in their pay bracket. but why don't berto call out clottey? why don't he wanna fight 147 lbers? ***** *** nigguh.
