Timothy Bradley will the first fighter to take a crack at Juan Manuel Marquez after he landed the shot heard around the world when he knocked out Manny Pacquiao in the 6th round of their fight last December. Bradley will need to be aware of Marquez’s potent right hand but instead of being worried about the punch landing, he’s actually looking forward to it.
“Hell yeah. I can't wait until he lands that big shot and I don't go nowhere and I just eat that motherf***ker like argggh. I eat it and I don't go nowhere, then he knows he's in trouble” Bradley would tell BoxingScene.
“You can't get in the pool without getting wet. You're going to get wet. He's going to land a shot on me and it's probably going to be a big shot and if I don't go anywhere man, the longer the fight go on, the more punishment I'm going to put on him.”
Bradley definitely went swimming on the deep end of the pool with Ruslan Provodnikov last February as he elected to go to war with his Russian opponent rather than box his way to a victory. Many don’t expect Bradley to fight the same way against Marquez but Bradley says he can do it all and Marquez or anyone else don’t know what he’s going to do October 12th.
“I can be aggressive and I can box too so I can mix it up in there. They don't know what I'm going to do. Nobody knows. I'll adjust my style according to what the hell he's trying to do and I'll just alter my game and flip it. If he wants to be aggressive I'll box him. If he don't want to be aggressive and he wants to sit back, I'll take it to his ass. I'll stand right in from of him and I'll make him miss and make him pay” said an animated Bradley.
“I got so many elements in my game they don't know what I'm doing. They think I'm going to run all night. Naw, I'm going to be in your face; right in your face all night. And you're not going to hit me; I'm going to hit you. Plain and simple”.
Bradley assures while he’ll fight the proper fight to get the victory, the contest won’t be short of action as he feels there will be more than plenty.
“It's going to be a chess match early on and once we get comfortable then we'll open up”.
