Boxxer hope to extend their working relationship with former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith.
Ben Shalom said he had presented the Bournemouth man with offers to consider moving forward after his contract expired at the end of 2025.
Billam-Smith, who is trained by Shane McGuigan, is big business in Bournemouth, where he can sell out the Bournemouth International Centre and where he defeated Lawrence Okolie for the world title in the Vitality Stadium, home of Premier League soccer club, Bournemouth AFC.
“We’ve put some options to him,” said Shalom, who didn’t compete in the purse bids when the WBO ordered an eliminator between Billam-Smith and Germany’s Roman Fress. “There’s plenty of options. There’s Jack Massey, it’s a great domestic fight. I like the Kevin Lerena fight. I would love to make that for the full WBC world [bridgerweight] title. And that's something that we're discussing at the moment with Lerena’s manager, Spencer Brown. So, you know, hopefully that’s a fight that I'll put to him and maybe he’ll like that.
“He’s at a stage in his career where he can make the decisions as to who he fights. He’s obviously had the big nights. He’s been at the top and I think he just wants some big names and big nights.”
South African southpaw Lerena is 31-4 (15 KOs) and last fought when losing a wide decision to Lawrence Okolie in July at London’s Wembley Stadium on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk’s second victory over Daniel Dubois.
English cruiserweight Massey is 23-3 (13 KOs). His defeats were by Jai Opetaia, heavyweight Joseph Parker, and former Billam-Smith victim Richard Riakporhe.
