Gary Russell Jr’s world title defence against Tugstsogt Nyambayar this weekend will be the first of three live events on BoxNation this month, as the UK channel ramps up its coverage after agreeing a new partnership with Premier Sports.
Russell defends his WBC featherweight title against Nyambayar, a Mongolian who won the flyweight silver medal at the London Olympics in 2012, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night, on a show that also features Guillermo Rigondeaux facing Liborio Solis for the vacant WBA bantamweight title.
BoxNation will also screen two shows the following weekend.
First Ryan Garcia, the rising lightweight star, goes for win No 19 against Francisco Fonseca in Anaheim on Friday night (February 14), with Jorge Linares, the former three-weight world champion, due to face Carlos Morales on the undercard.
Then 24 hours later, Caleb Plant will defend is IBF super-featherweight title against Vincent Feigenbutz, his mandatory challenger from Germany, in Nashville.
BoxNation began broadcasting in 2011 and became the regular location for big fights from across the Atlantic. It agreed a new partnership with Premier Sports in January.
In March, BoxNation will be available free of charge to current Premier Sports customers on Sky and the Premier Player. Customers subscribed to BoxNation via Sky will automatically get free access to Premier Sports 1, 2 and LaLigaTV.
