Sebastian Juarez, a 20-year-old middleweight prospect, has signed a long-term promotional agreement with Boxlab Promotions, according to a press release.
Juarez, 7-0 (5 KOs), is from Brownsville, Texas. He is the younger brother of junior welterweight Omar Juarez and is trained by renowned coach Bob Santos.
Juarez appreciates his brother’s help to this point in his career but is ready and determined to step out of his older brother’s shadow.
“I’ve always looked up to Omar and watched how hard he’s worked to get where he is,” Sebastian said in a press release. “Now it’s my turn. I want to make a name for myself, and I’m going to show the boxing world what I’m capable of every time I step in the ring.
Juarez has fought seven times in his first 18 months as a professional. He plans to stay active throughout 2025. The storied middleweight division, home of many of the best fights and fighters for generations, now sorely needs young blood.
“My goal for the rest of the year is to stay fighting consistently, keep learning, and work my way up the rankings,” Juarez said. “I’m improving every day in the gym with Bob Santos. He’s helped me tighten up my technique and sharpen my mindset. I’m confident in the direction we’re going.”
“Sebastian Juarez is a hardworking, determined young fighter with all the tools to become a star,” said Boxlab Promotions President Amaury Piedra. “He’s got power, composure and a great team around him. We’re excited to add another promising young fighter to our stable. Our plan is to guide his career and give him the platform he needs to rise through the ranks. He’s going to have a great opportunity.”
