Saturday night we saw one hell of a heavyweight fight between Lamon Brewster and Kali Meehan. Lamon Brewster lived up to the nickname that Don King gave him, the "Black Rocky". BoxingScene caught with Lamon to speak about the fight with Kali Meehan and his upcoming opponent Evander Holyfield.

BoxingScene: Lamon, before I ask anything, how did you make it out of the eight round? Meehan was just beating on you against the ropes for such a long period of time, I thought Jay Nady was going to stop the fight.

Brewster: He landed a few good shots but I was never in trouble. He (Meehan) missed a lot of those punches. If you watch the fight again, you can see that I blocked most of the punches.

BoxingScene: Are you satisfied with your performance tonight?

Brewster: I'm happy that I got this win. I should of did better, I gave away some rounds because I didnt let my hands go enough and it made the fight real close. I knew Meehan would be a tough fight. Meehan is a real strong guy and he showed that he has the heart to fight.

BoxingScene: Do you think you won the fight?

Brewster: I think I won the fight, it was close but I think I did enough to win.

BoxingScene: Next up for you is Evander Holyfield. How excited are you about this fight and at this stage of his career, how much do you think Holyfield has left?

Brewster: I'm very excited, the man is a legend. You can never count Evander Holyfield out, everytime people count this man out he shows his heart. This will be a great fight and I'm looking forward to it.

BoxingScene: What is your long term goal in the division?

Brewster: To unify the titles. Don (King) wants a heavyweight tournament to unify all the titles and hopefully it can happen.

BoxingScene: Thank you for your time Lamon.
