Former heavyweight champion Francois "White Buffalo" Botha (45-4, 28KOs) made his return to the ring for the first time in five years, winning a one-sided unanimous decision over Australian Bob Mirovic at the Carousel Casino in South Africa. Botha wins the WBF interim heavyweight title with the victory. The scores were 119-109, 120-108, and 120-107.

Ringside observers report that Botha was in good physical shape and fought the entire twelve rounds at a very steady pace. After two unsteady rounds, Botha began to land his overhand rights on his 6'5 opponent and focused on the body for the rest of the way. Mirovic was able to take, but rarely landed any counters.

Following the bout, Botha announced that he would return later this year in Durban, South Africa against Andrew Golota.
