BELFAST – The boos rang out for Limerick’s Paddy Donovan at today’s weigh in, while Lewis Crocker was given a hero’s welcome.
Donovan was greeted by chants of “cheat, cheat” having been disqualified in the first fight between the two back in March.
Donovan was joined on stage by coach Andy Lee and stablemate Joseph Parker.
Crocker was flanked by coach Billy Nelson.
“You’ll see the best me ever, tune in tomorrow,” said Donovan.
“I’m excited, I’m absolutely excited,” said Crocker, in front of a raucous crowd.
Caoimhin Agyarko and Ishmael Davis kept it respectful and shook hands while Tyrone McKenna and Dylan Moran predictably carried on their war of words ahead of the rematch of their two-round war last year. Molly McCann also weighed in ahead of her professional boxing debut.
