Bobb Gunn (16-2, 13KOs), who takes a big step up in class when he meets WBO cruiserweight champ Enzo Maccarinelli (25-1, 19KOs) on Saturday at the Millennium Stadium, told BBC Sport that Maccarinelli would be a tougher opponent than Roy Jones, Jr.

"I had a possible fight with Jones fall through, but to me there is no comparison with Enzo - he is the man right now," Gunn said. "He's perhaps the best cruiserweight in the world, but a chance to fight such a man on his own ground is what I crave."

The fight will be the supporting bout to Joe Calzaghe's defense of the WBO super middleweight title against Peter Manfredo, Jr.

Maccarinelli hopes that Gunn fights as good as he talks. An explosive bout is exactly what Macca wants to happen. It's no secret that Macca will be looking to check the chin of Gunn from the start.

"He says he comes to fight, and that's fine by me," said Maccarinelli. "With my power, if I catch anyone on the chin they're going to go over."
