INGLEWOOD, CALIF. --- WBO super-featherweight champion Mikey Garcia filed a lawsuit against Top Rank Promotions last month, saying his promotional agreement with the promotion was illegal and had expired, but apparently Garcia and Top Rank appear to be working things out.

Things don't appear to be going so good with former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who wants to become a free agent, but Top Rank CEO Bob Arum plans to offer him a fight in the coming weeks. Arum would not disclose whom he wants Chavez Jr. to fight.

"We're back talking with Mikey Garcia," Arum said, "and with Chavez Jr. we're going to sit down and offer him a fight next month or so."
