At the Gulf Coast Arena in Biloxi, Mississippi, cruiserweight BJ Flores (24-0, 15KOs) was way too big and too strong for the undersized Epifanio Mendoza (29-8, 25KOs). Flores battered Mendoza off the jab and pushed him back with power punch combinations.

During the end of the third, Mendoza appeared to suffer a shoulder injury. During the fourth, Mendoza grabbed his shoulder and was unable to continue fighting. He waved to his corner, and they jumped in to stop the fight.
