BoxingScene.com recently ran a story in which IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green was in line to fight IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute at a catch-weight in 2011.
Before such a fight can take place Danny Green has to defend his title versus unbeaten BJ Flores on November 17. The undefeated challenger told BoxingScene, "Danny Green better worry about his fight with me. After he fights me he will know he needs to move down to light heavyweight permanently."
Flores' trainer Jacob Chavez added, "forget light heavyweight. After he fights BJ, he needs to be thinking about retiring."
Flores ended our conversation by smiling and saying, "tell Green to keep thinking about Bute," as he walked out of the gym.
