Cruiserweight contender BJ Flores (31-1-1, 20KOs) may hit the Echo Arena in Liverpool on November 22nd, when domestic rivals Nathan Cleverly (28-1, 14KOs) and Tony Bellew (22-2-1, 14KOs) collide in a rematch.
Cleverly won a close twelve round majority decision over Bellew in 2011 at light heavyweight and now they will battle 25-pounds north. Flores is considering the possibility of sitting ringside, with the intention of challenging the winner of the fight. Flores, who is managed by Al Haymon, is close friends with former two division world champion David Haye.
"I think it’s a great fight. It’s a great domestic fight. People over in England are very excited about it. It’s two guys moving up from light heavyweight and they both draw good crowds," Flores told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
"They’re both very popular and both guys have targeted one another and said, 'Listen I’m gonna kick you out of my division and kick you out of my country and I want everyone to know that I’m the best cruiserweight in England.' I think it’s a good fight, it’s an exciting fight and it’s a fight that I might try to attend myself to make sure that I can call out the winner."
