Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders attended a final press conference today ahead of their much anticipated WBO World middleweight title fight this Saturday at Manchester Arena.

The bout, which will be screened live and exclusive on Boxnation, headlines a jam-packed card including WBO World light middleweight champion Liam Smith, former IBF World bantamweight champion Paul Butler, rising stars Jack Catterall, Tommy Langford, Liam Williams and much more.

Today in Manchester Lee (34-2-1, 24 KOs) and Saunders (22-0, 12 KOs) shared a few thoughts with the media before the two fighters come face to face on Friday ar the weigh-in.

"[I've] had a brilliant camp. Time to get in and get the job done. I'm a smart fighter, don't under estimate me," said Saunders.

Lee, who won the vacant title against Matt Korobov last December, is making only the first defence of the belt after his April 2015 with Peter Quillin was declared a non-title fight after the American failed to make the weight.

Saunders is the WBO number one contender for Lee's title and the pair were due to box on September 19 in Ireland before the champion picked up a virus. The bout was then moved to Manchester for October 10 but had to be postponed again due to a cut suffered in sparring by Saunders.

After a long wait the champion was in a calm mood ahead of his 38th fight.

"For me it's just another fight," he said. "He's over eager and that will be his disadvantage!

Lee, widely known as one of boxing's true gentlemen, went on to say: "I'm a different person when the bell goes. There's a transition that comes in the dressing room and I turn nasty!"

A man of few words, Lee's trainer Adam Booth added: "They're going to be swapping bombs on Saturday night!"
