Ever since younger brother Matthew Hatton left for another gym/trainer, there were rumors going around that older brother Ricky Hatton would split with longtime trainer Billy Graham. It appears the rumors are true as Graham has announced his retirement from the sport and will not be in Ricky's corner for the November 22 bout with IBF junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi.

"Ricky and Billy had a meeting yesterday in which Billy admitted he was not going any further," Hatton's father, Ray, said. "It was quite emotional because they have been together for so long. It's a sad day. Billy will always be remembered as one of the world's great trainers, and to go out after a win in front of 58,000 people in Manchester will be a fitting end to his career."

At the present, it being reported that Graham's assistant, Lee Beard, is going to train Hatton for his fight against Malignaggi before a decison is made on a permanent replacement. There have been rumors going around that Hatton might possibly begin using the services of Floyd Mayweather Sr, the current trainer of Hatton's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya.
