IBF featherweight champion Bill Dib has advised his friend and countryman, Danny Green (31-5, 27 KOs), to consider retirement. In 2011, Green soon to be 39-years-old, lost his IBO cruiserweight title when he was knocked out by Antonio Tarver in the ninth round in July, and then knocked out in eleven rounds by WBC champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in November. In both fights Green took punishement. He was considering retirement, but not it is likely that Green will continue his career.
"Danny has had a great career in the ring and earned millions, but in his last two fights he lost before the distance. Nobody wants to see him get hurt. He is the father of two children. Why risk your health? He already achieved so much in the sport," Dib said.
