Ready for fireworks and fizz, when WBC light heavyweight Champion Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (25-1, 21 KOs) returns to the ring on Saturday, April 4 at Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, defending his title against former WBC super middleweight world champion, Sakio Bika (32-6-3, 21 KOs).
The Premier Boxing Champions card will be televised by CBS. Challenger Bika is confident the leap in weight to 175-pounds will be a successful move for his career.
Sakio Bika: “After all these years fighting at 168 pounds, it was becoming increasingly difficult to make the weight and that was a major factor in my defeats. I see no problem making the jump to light heavyweight to face Stevenson and I do not feel I’ll be at a disadvantage because the champion made this transition successfully himself less than two years ago against Chad Dawson. I promise you that I will be the new WBC light heavyweight Champion on April 4.”
