The first event presented by Fight for Life Promotions took place at the Corona Theatre in Montreal, and fulfilled the planned mission. First, the financial goal of $10,000 was reached and will be provided to various organizations helping victims of breast cancer. Then, what does not hurt, a series of knockouts punctuated the evening.

"Bermane has not boxed for over a year and we wanted to give him the chance to find his lairs in the ring. We wanted him to remove the rust for a battle that is just as important on December 17 in Miami, said Camille Estephan, the sponsor of the event and agent for heavyweight Bermane Stiverne, when approached by BoxingScene.com/Netboxe.com.

In fact, Bermane Stiverne (19-1-1) stopped his rival American Ramon Hayes (15-32-1) via TKO in 2:08.

This victory by Bermane Stiverne closed an evening which saw a festival of knockouts. By lifting the curtain, lightweight Ghislain Maduma (1-0-0) managed a comeback and is very noticeable in the professionals ranks. He totally dominating his Mexican rival Tadeo Francisco (0-5-0), before grabbing the KO at 1:36 of the second round.

Another violent KO occurred during the second fight. But it was the Ukrainian Andriy Ivanov (4-6-0), who managed to surprise Sylvera Louis (2-1-0) with an uppercut. The KO was recorded at 2:56 of round 1.

"For this fight, I prepared at the Tristar Gym, which included sparring with Nicholson Poulard. I very much hope to get the chance to go back in the ring right here in Quebec very soon," said Andriy Ivanov to BoxingScene.com/Netboxe.com after his victory.

A Montreal resident for the last six months for family reasons, Ivanov has boxed in the United States, Russia and Ukraine, but he would like to extend his stay on Canadian soil. Working in the ring under the supervision of Piter Vladigerov, the heavyweight also attended the Académie Ness Martial since it is in the metropolis.

The Montreal-born Lebanese Ahmad Cheikho (4-2-2) for his part added to his record a second victory before the limit, winning by TKO at 1:25 of the first round against Mexico's Hugo Pacheco (12-18).

Finally, the main chief support was probably the toughest as the Puerto Rican Wilfredo Negron (26-16-1) provided some good opposition, and put a lot of pressure on Dierry Jean (19-0) in the second round. However, the latter was more rapid, more creative and more talented than his rival. Dierry Jean finally recorded the victory by TKO at 1:48 of the 5th round.
