Beltran Plans To Secure Big Fight For Orlando Salido

In a bout that many are calling the "Fight of The Year" - Orlando Salido (42-12-2, 29KOs) survived three knockdowns and scored four of his own to stop Terdsak Kokietgym (53-5) in eleven rounds to capture the interim-WBO super featherweight title at the Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutiérrez Moreno in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

Promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions is looking to get Salido at major fight at the weight. Some of the names include Mikey Garcia, Francisco Vargas, a rematch with Vasyl Lomachenko and several others.

"Salido once again demonstrated his greatness. We knew the Thai fighter was very tough and it would be a fight that the public would enjoy, but not with so many doses of drama and such quality. These are the types of fights that Zanfer wants to present to the fans," Beltran said.

"Orlando is undoubtedly one of the top contenders and certainly a lot of major league fighters want to fight him. We will examine the most suitable scenario for Orlando Salido's career and soon we will be releasing information on his next bout."
