Headlining the show, Jerry Belmontes faces Abner Cotto in a scheduled 10-round lightweight bout. The televised co-feature pits unbeaten super lightweight prospect Keandre Gibson in a scheduled 8-round bout with battle-tested Fort Worth native Jose Hernandez.
The terms for the contest are simple: Submit via Twitter your official prediction on the outcome of the main event, down to the final scores, if predicting a decision), or the time of the stoppage if you believe the fight will end in knockout/technical knockout.
Include the following handles on your prediction Tweet: @GoldenBoyBoxing, @LeijaBattahPR, @JakeNDaBox
Belmontes (19-4, 5KOs) returns for the first time since landing on the wrong side of a controversial decision against unbeaten lightweight titlist Omar Figueroa in April.
Cotto (17-2, 8KOs) has dropped two of his last three bouts, including his own loss to —albeit in far less competitive fashion as he was stopped in one round last April. His most recent performance saw a better showing, though dropping a close but clear decision to rising prospect Francisco Vargas.
The contest will run through Thursday, August 7, 9:00PM ET/6:00PM PT. Any submissions coming after that deadline will not be deemed eligible for the grand prize.
