Tony Bellew could make another defence of his British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles before tackling Nathan Cleverly.
The current Lonsdale belt holder is on course to meet Paul David this September.
There had been suggestions that Bellew would clash with Cleverly in an all British world title showdown this autumn.
The pair have been on a collision course since Bellew stepped in at short notice to fight Cleverly in May.
Eventually the fight was scrapped when Bellew failed to make weight.
Now the Scouser is building towards a showdown with his Welsh rival, and looking to maintain his unbeaten record.
Fast-talking Bellew is undefeated in 16 fights with 10 stoppages.
His last fight saw him shut out Ovill McKenzie in a much quieter rematch of their explosive December meeting.
David, 13-5, was due to challenge Paul Smith for the British super-middleweight title late last year.
But he missed out on his chance when Smith was instead paired with James DeGale.
