There was as always a busy Christmas weekend in Belgian boxing. On the annual show, which takes place on Christmas Day, December 25 in Izegem, unbeaten featherweight Jean Pierre Bauwens (22-0, 13KOs) headlined and outscored Georgian Nugzar Margvelashvili (22-14) over eight rounds. In the co-feature hardpunching welterweight Sasha Yengoyan was forced to go the full eight rounds against George Ungiadze, while former EBU 147 lb champ Jackson Osei Bonsu (38-5, 27KOs), now at jr. middleweight, knocked out Malkhaz Berkatashvili (18-10) in the first of a scheduled six rounder.
