Batyr Jukembayev was born on April 5,1991 in the small town named Shu, with a population of 36,000 people, in Kazakhstan. At the age of 7, Batyr's older brother Erlan convinced him to visit small boxing club at local community center and strap on some gloves. And Batyr’s life would never be the same again. Very soon Batyr became obsessed with boxing, and with perfecting his skills in the sport. Following his dream, Batyr spent most of his early years away from his family permanently living in the sports school institution for talented children dedicating himself entirely to Boxing. For Batyr, life was often tough, at boxing school rules and regulations were very strict and challenging. Most of his classmates were not able to handle the pressure and dropped out. Batyr, however, was determined and graduated with honours. He has 243 amateur bouts including 203 victories. He won numerous medals in light-welterweight boxing in Kazakhstan and abroad. Batyr turned pro in 2015 with his Manager Anna Reva.
