The "regular" WBA featherweight champion Jonathan Barros is confident of beating his mandatory challenger on June 18 in Mendoza, Argentina. The challenger, former champion Celestino Caballero, says he can't afford another loss after being upset last November by Jason Litzau. Barros, who desires to secure the biggest fights in his division, plans to give him another loss. Barros wants the biggest names at his weight, like Chris John and a rematch with Yuriorkis Gamboa. Caballero has been training in the United States with Jeff Mayweather, but recently returned to Panama to finish his camp.

"We are coming along very well in training. He we are doing special things. I've had a good diet and my physical condition is impeccable. We have evolved a lot in our training. For me, the fight with Caballero is the gateway to what I've always dreamed about - the big fights against the big boys. I know that I have to beat this guy. He's tall and powerful, but I have a lot of faith in myself. I'm working hard with Soria and Bracamonte (coaches) for that. Caballero has said many things about me and so I answered [by fighting him]. It made me very hot and I have to defend myself," said Barros.
