BoxingScene.com was informed that Jorge Barrios (47-3-1, 34 KOs) hit the scales earlier today and was heavier than his team had anticipated. Due to fears that he may not be able to make the 130-pound limit for Saturday's bout against Rocky Juarez (27-4, 19 KOs), both sides have reached an agreement to let Barrios weigh in on Friday at the limit of 133.
Barrios has to pay Juarez an undisclosed amount of money and he is not allowed to weigh above 133. Should Barrios weigh-in above 133, the fight could possibly be off. Juarez still plans to weigh-in at 130. Barrios-Juarez takes place on the undercard to Juan Diaz-Michael Katsidis at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. HBO will televise both fights.
