At Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, Salvador Sanchez stopped Trinidad Mendoiza in three. The newphew of the great Mexican warrior clearly isn't reminding anyone of his uncle but his agression is enough to drop Mendoza in the 2nd with a body shot and finish the job with another body shot at 1:23 of the 3rd round. Sanchez improves to 14-3-2 with 8KOs while Mendoza stumbles to 28-25-2.

Local LA sensation John Molina Jr needed all of 28 seconds to dispatch Efren Hinojosa and remain undefeated.   Molinda started out strong and didn't stop until he had Hinojosa down from a sharp hook to the body and left to the head. Molina improves to 18-0 with 14 KOs while Hinojosa drops to 30-8-1 with 17 KOs.

The last bout before the main event saw former Cruiserweight Jonathan Banks of Detroit Michigan win against Javier "Monster" Mora of Anaheim, Ca by way of Jalisco Mex. Banks was simply too skilled for the game Mora seemingly connecting at will often hurting Mora. Banks cruises to a 79-73 78-74 and an inexplicable 76-76 majority decision.
