Sources close to the situation have informed BoxingScene that while a contract to fight Arturo Gatti was sent by Main Events to representatives of WBA welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir, nothing has been signed as of yet. Talks are ongoing and appear to be very positive.
While there are several offers being thrown in the direction of the newly crowned champion, Baldomir’s preference would be a clash with Arturo Gatti.
