Russian undefeated bantamweight Alexander Bakhtin (25-0, 11KOs) was not pleased with Wladimir Klitschko's public display at a press conference which took place several weeks ago in Germany. Before the international press, Klitschko ridiculed his then opponent Alexander Povetkin, who was unable to attend the press conference. Klitschko brought used a cardboard figure of Povetkin to kick around insults and used a marker to bruise up the face of the cardboard figurine.

Bakhtin was shocked because Klitschko is usually a champion who shows nothing but respect to his opponents. Poevtkin was eventually dropped from the battle and replaced with Samuel Peter. The Nigerian heavyweight will challenger Klitschko for his titles next Saturday in Germany.

"It was very ugly. Your opponent must be respected. He [Klitschko] probably already knew that the fight wasn't going to take place, and so he began to behave like that. And if he knew the fight was going to happen, I think he would behaved differently. Klitschko was already relaxed because he knew the fight wasn't going to happen," Bakhtin told reporter Alexander Pavlov.
