Rising heavyweight Bakhodir Jalolov is set to return to action on October 6 as he takes on Russia’s Vitaly Kudukhov in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

In his most recent professional outing, the 31-year-old two-time Olympic gold medallist Jalolov, 15-0 (14 KOs), outpointed Igor Shevadzutskyi in April.

“My goal is, of course, to become world heavyweight champion. I believe that with my experience, I deserve to face the strongest fighters.

”There are many Uzbeks in Saint Petersburg who are also eagerly awaiting my fight. I will do my best to put on a great performance for you all!”

Kudukhov, 7-3 (3 KOs), already looks overmatched.

The evening is due to be headlined by another heavyweight bout between Sergey Kuzmin and Murad Khalidov.
