BoxingScene was ready and willing to engage in conversation during the post-fight press conference following the Shane Mosley-Winky Wright rematch.
Sammy Rozenberg (BoxingScene) - After another hard loss, are you going to continue fighting and if so, will you move down to 147 pounds?
Shane Mosley - I thought I won the fight, the judges saw it different. I have speak with my promoter and discuss my next fight.
Sammy Rozenberg (BoxingScene) - At 154 or 147?
Shane Mosley - I'm staying at 154 pounds, I'm not moving back down. I feel I beat the best fighter at 154 tonight, why move down to 147.
Sammy Rozenberg (BoxingScene) - Oscar De La Hoya is going back to 147, maybe the two of you can finally have a third meeting.
Shane Mosley - I beat Oscar twice, at 147 and 154. If he wants to fight, we can do it at 154.
Moments later I caught up with Winky Wright.
Sammy Rozenberg (BoxingScene) - Big win tonight. What did Shane do different this time that made it a closer fight?
Winky Wright - Shane came to fight. He threw more punches to my body. Shane used more movement, but it was my fight. He couldnt beat my jab.
Sammy Rozenberg (BoxingScene) - You said prior to the fight that you thought you would knock Shane out. Does he take a a better punch then you anticipated?
Winky Wright - He can take a punch because I hit him with some shots....I don't know how he stayed on his feet.
Sammy Rozenberg (BoxingScene) - Was it a tougher fight this time around?
Winky Wright - It wasnt easy.
Sammy Rozenberg (BoxingScene) - Who would you like to fight next? De La Hoya is planning a move to 147, Trinidad and Hopkins are at 160. Would you be willing to move down to 147 to meet Oscar or move up to face Trinidad or Hopkins?
Winky Wright - I don't think I can get down to 147, maybe somewhere in the middle. I'll move up for the right fights. If Hopkins and Trinidad want Winky Wright, I'll go up and let's do it.
