This Friday, March 11th, in theatres across three states (California, Ma. & New York) the movie "BlackCloud" opens. Written and directed by well-known actor Rick Schroder, this film has drawn rave reviews; winning awards at every festival at which it was screened.
While unbeatable in the boxing ring, Black Cloud - eloquently played by Eddie Spears - struggles with life as a Navajo youth. While much more than just a boxing movie, "BlackCloud" exhibits all the characteristics needed by a young fighter to survive in the brutal, yet beautiful, world of competitve boxing; inspiration, heart, the discipline necessary to accomplish a dream, and surrounding yourself with good people.
The New York-born Schroder, best known as the child star in the movie "The Champ", as well as the television series "Silver Spoon", has dramatically captured all these elements in this truly inspirational, heartfelt movie which also includes: accomplished veteran actors Wayne Knight (Seinfeld), Peter Greene ("The Mask"), along with Schroder, and the acting debut of country music star Tim McGraw.
While making a boxing movie invariably draws comparisons to "Raging Bull" and "Rocky", Schroder's "BlackCloud" admirably holds it's own against these boxing movie heavyweights!

In New York "BlackCloud" can be seen in Manhattan at the Lowes State in Times Square, and the UA Movies at Staten Island-14 in Staten Island.
