Hard-hitting Georgian slugger Avtandil "Tornado" Khurtsidze (25-2-2, 15 KOs) proved he is a vital part of the middleweight puzzle with a huge win over dangerous fringe contender Dionisio "Mr. Knockout" Miranda (21-7-2, 18 KOs).
WBA #1 Khurtsidze put his IBO title at risk against IBF #6 and WBC #8 Colombian and immediately proved Miranda didn't belong to be in the same ring this night. Khurtsidze firstly brought him down with a crushing overhand left in the middle of the first stanza. Miranda got up but was quickly put on the canvas face down after another chilling left hook by the fiery Georgian. Official time of the stoppage was 2:37 of the first.
On the same card, rising cruiserweight prospect Dmytro Kucher (12-0, 10 KOs) got his soundest victory to date with a dominating stoppage of former world title challenger Ali Ismailov (18-7-1, 13 KOs). Azerbaijani Ismailov retired on the stool after the seventh.
Also, light welterweight Victor Postol (14-0, 8 KOs) delivered a terrible beating to overmatched but gutsy Belgian Tarik Madni (14-2, no KOs). Scores were 100:89 (twice) and 100:90. Ukrainian Contender winner Bohdan Protsyshin (6-1, 1 KO) outpointed Maksim Ponomarev (2-1) unanimously over four.
