IBF female flyweight champion Ava Knight (10-1-3, 5KOs) shocked the local press in Mexico when she challenged WBC silver flyweight champion Edgar Sosa (47-4, 28KOs) to a four round exhibition. Sosa faces Archie Solis in a trilogy match on March 9th, while Knight returns this Saturday night to take on Susana Vazquez in Chihuahua in a rematch.
"I'm sure that I'm the best boxer in the world. I've shown that in the ring and I think that no one can argue. At my 24 years of age I think I still have a lot to do in boxing, and one of the things I have in mind is to face a man in an exhibition match, and I'm throwing the challenge to Edgar Sosa. Sosa will fight in Guadalajara with Ulises 'Archie' Solis. My challenge is against the winner, although I would prefer to trade punches with Sosa," Knight said.
