WBA junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (26-0, 14KOs) can't wait to get in the ring with WBC 154-pound champ Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (41-0-1, 30KOs) on April 20th at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Trout returns from the biggest win of his career, a twelve round decision of Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto in December.

"I am extremely excited to step to the next level. Alvarez is a strong fighter, undefeated. He is going in there with every intention of keeping his belt. We're both undefeated, but I'm sure I'm the best," said Trout to Carlos Gonzalez. "Although [Canelo] does some things like Cotto, he also does a lot of different things and therefore I am preparing with the same dedication and enthusiasm."

"I always keep training, so there is enough time to get ready [with the date switch]. In a few days I will be doing sparring sessions for 10 rounds. I wish it was on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr., since it is a big event that receives a lot of attention, but for me the important thing is that we will give a good show in San Antonio."
