During his recent media tour to promote the September fight with WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz, Floyd Mayweather Jr. sent a message to WBO champion Manny Pacquiao - by telling the Filipino boxer "you're next." Pacquiao will defend his title against Juan Manuel Marquez in a trilogy bout on November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, refuses to engage Mayweather in another war of words.
If Mayweather wants the fight, then Arum wants him to walk the walk by making a deal.
"We're not going to waste time playing games with Mayweather. You can talk the talk, but walk the walk," Arum said to Balitang America. "Manny has his hands full with Marquez who seems to know how to fight him. If Pacquiao gets by Marquez, we'll see if we can make a Mayweather fight."
