Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao advised his promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, that his injured right shoulder is "completely healed."
Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38KOs) suffered the injury during the fourth round of his May decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. He had surgery a few days later.
The Filipino superstar told Arum that he wants to return to the ring no later than April. Arum has a list of five potential opponents - Amir Khan, Lucas Matthysse, Terence Crawford, Juan Manuel Marquez and Kell Brook.
"Pacquiao is apparently getting an MRI in the Philippines this week. He's sending it [the surgeon in the Unites States] for an evaluation. He claims the shoulder is completely healed and he has absolutely no pain or soreness or anything from the operation," Arum told BoxingScene.com.
Even with Pacquiao's claim of being injury free, Arum is not going to schedule anything until the boxer's surgeon, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, medically clears him to fight.
"We'll have to see [about his next fight], but I'm not making a fight for Manny Pacquiao until he's 100% cleared by Dr. ElAttrache," Arum said.
