Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who co-promotes WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, says a unification with Anthony Joshua would be a massive event regardless of the location.

Both Fury and Joshua have contracted defenses coming up this year.

If they both come out on top, their respective teams would like them to meet in the ring in 2021.

Joshua has to defend his WBO, IBF, IBO, WBA titles against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev, who Arum also promotes.

And Fury has a rematch obligation that he owes to Deontay Wilder.

"Joshua will be able to fight Pulev sometime this year," Arum said to Sky Sports. "I think Pulev is going to beat him, but we'll have to see. Fury owes Wilder a fight this year and hopefully we'll get that done.

"Next year there'll be this huge fight with Fury and Joshua, that's the way the cards turn. It will be a massive, massive fight wherever it takes place. US, UK or someplace elsewhere."

Because of the current restrictions with the coronavirus pandemic, Arum admits that it's really tough right now to plan out big fights.

The big rights require a live audience to generate a big gate. He's hoping to take the Fury vs. Wilder trilogy to whatever country is willing to put up the money to secure it - and Macau in China is one of the contenders to grab it.

"Really big fights are going to be hard to put on," Arum said. "We have Tyson Fury with Wilder and we hope to do that fight in November or December.

"Whether it's for a full audience or a limited audience in the United States or put it on in Macau, which may be open for full arenas as early as November. You know, we're exploring all our options."
