There has been a lot of talk recently regarding a showdown between WBO featherweight titlist Vasyl Lomachenko and WBA/WBO junior featherweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux. And Bob Arum, who promotes Lomachenko, believes it is a possibility.

"I think if we got to Dubai, they would love that fight," said the Chairman of Top Rank, which is in the process of negotiating a fight card over there on November 21st.

It's no secret that Arum is not a huge fan of Rigondeaux and his style. Top Rank promoted the Cuban southpaw for a few years before parting ways. But a match-up of two men that won two Olympic gold medals and are considered two of the best boxers in the sport intrigues the promoter.

"For me as a boxing fan, I mean that's a fight that I have to see,'' he said. "That's one of the classic fights of our era. I understand the lack of interest, maybe, in Rigondeaux."

Lomachenko's  manager, Egis Klimas has made it clear that a fight between the two would have to take place at the featherweight limit of 126-pounds.
