Top Rank CEO Bob Arum believes the biggest fight in boxing, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao, can happen if Don King is involved. Twice Arum tried to make it, and twice the fight fell through. Arum and King have put together some of the biggest fights in the history of the sport, including Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier in Manila and Felix Trinidad vs. Oscar De La Hoya in Las Vegas.

For over a week, Mayweather has been in Florida spending time with King. Mayweather is expected to attend this Saturday's Don King promoted card in St. Louis with Devon Alexander defending his IBF/WBC 140-pound titles against Andriy Kotelnik. Mayweather has worked with Golden Boy Promotions for his last four fights. According to King, Mayweather is exploring the possibility of establishing a working relationship.

"You know, we'd have a really basic negotiation. We'd yell and scream at each other," said Arum. "But, you know, King says that it would take two hours, and I would say over a weekend. But I would say that over that weekend, that Don King and I would come to terms."

"First of all, let's not rush. Because we don't know how it's going to end up between Don King and Floyd Mayweather. But if King ultimately becomes the promoter of Floyd Mayeather, my prediction is -- and without of the all of the stern drama that we went through the last two times -- that Don King and I would be able to put together the match."

Arum believes a agreement with King would be much easier, and much quicker, to finalize than if Mayweather remains in a working relationship with Golden Boy Promotions.

"I mean, you don't understand that dealing with this the first time, with these Golden Boy people, what they put us through. These nonsense points. Like whose banner you're going to wear. Crap that King and I don't give a damn about. So, you know, we'd have a really basic negotiation. It's always great if you're dealing, to deal with another professional," said Arum. "Whatever you say about Don King, Don King is a true professional."
