A vigil for legendary manager/cutman Arturo Mota will he held Sunday from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m.  at the Funeraria Del Angel on 4677 E. Gage in Bell, CA 90201. Call (323) 560-2216 for more information. Mota suffered a heart attack and passed away on July 9th while vacation in Cancun, Mexico.  He was 68 years old and is survived by his wife and seven children.

Mota was a successful businessman and the owner of the famed Azteca Gym in Bell, CA.  He was most famous in the boxing world for wrapping the hands of some of boxing's biggest stars such as Julio Cesar Chavez Sr, Jorge "Maromero" Paez, Miguel Vasquez, Giovani Segura, and several others.

Mass will be held on Monday at St. Matthias Church, 3095 Florence Avenue, Huntington Park, CA at 9 a.m.  The burial will take place at Rose Hills Cemetery after the church service.
