Talks for a potential fight between German rivals Arthur Abraham [IBF middleweight champion] and Felix Sturm [WBA middleweight champion] - continue to heat up. Abraham and Sturm, two of the bigger boxing stars in their country, are eager to get it on in the ring and unify their titles. There has been a lot of trash talking by both sides in the last few weeks.

Wilfried Sauerland, head of Sauerland Event, has presented a guaranteed "take it or leave it" offer of 2.5 million euro to get Sturm in the ring. If Sturm refuses, Sauerland will focus his efforts on getting Abraham a fight in the United States with WBO/WBC champion Kelly Pavlik. There are two working dates being discussed for the fight, February 28 and March 14.

"This is our last offer. If no serious conversations come from it, we'll go another route with Abraham. We will focus all of our efforts on a unification [fight] with double title-holder Kelly Pavlik," Sauerland said.

Sturm is said to be satisfied with the lastest deal that was presented to his promoters, Universum.

"I desire this fight. I can hardly wait to fight Abraham," Sturm said.

Sauerland will not wait forever. They are giving Sturm and Universum a short window to accept the deal.
