According to several UK outlets, Martin Murray (32-2-1, 15KOs) is expected to be announced as the next opponent for WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham.

Murray, who extending middleweight destroy Gennady Golovkin to eleven rounds in February, cited weight concerns after the contest and made an immediate move to the super middleweight division.

While he returned as a light heavyweight in June, he gradually dropped his weight over his last three fights and weighed in a pound under the super middleweight limit for September's knockout of Jose Torries. It was Murray's fourth fight of the year and his third knockout win since the Golovkin defeat.

Abraham's opponent will be announced tomorrow by his promoters, Sauerland Event.

He is booked to return on November 21 at the Tui Arena in Hannover, Niedersachsen, Germany.

Abraham, 35-years-old, has had one of his most successful years to date. He began with a solid twelve round decision win over Paul Smith in their February bout. He then made a mandatory defense against Robert Stieglitz in July. In what was their fourth meeting, Abraham got the most conclusive win over the series with dominating sixth round TKO victory.

A win in November could springboard Abraham to a showdown with Bernard Hopkins in the first quarter of 2016. Golden Boy Promotions and Sauerland are discussing that matchup.
