Unbeaten welterweight Arnold Barboza will fight veteran Robbie Cannon on Jan. 30, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told BoxingScene.com.

The six round bout will take place at the Marriott Convention Center in Burbank, Calif.

The bout will precede the 10 round main event bout between Jose Felix and Ricky Sismundo. Both bouts will air on Unimas, beginning at 11 p.m. ET/ PT.
In his last bout on December 12, Barboza (9-0, 3 KOs) stopped Rony Oscar Alvarado in the sixth and final round. The 24-year-old Barboza has fought all of his bouts in Southern California.

Cannon is a decent step-up in opposition for Barboza, who has only faced two opponents with winning records.

Cannon (15-11-2, 7 KOs) will be the third. In his last bout on June 20, Cannon stopped Steve Mincks in the second round. The loss snapped a three-bout losing streak.

The 30-year-old Cannon also has losses against Omar Figueroa, Mason Menard, and most recently to Ivan Najera.
