At the Gimnasio Nuevo León in Nuevo León, Mexico, the popular Arely Mucino (13-0-1, 8KOs) retained the IBF female flyweight title with a fourth round stoppage of Soledad Macedo (10-7-1, 4KOs). Mucino hurt her opponent badly in the very first round, landing big punches and busting the nose of Macedo. At thirty-three seconds of the fourth round, Mucino landed a big left, and followed it with a big fight, to get Macedo in serious trouble, which caused referee Ramon Corona to step in and stop the fight. Hector Garcia of HG Boxing was the promoter.
